Oh, that’s great. i was kicking myself the whole winter for moving the plant in hotest days. but i remember it flowers in spring? but i didn’t see any flowers.

Well, it is ALMOST like the feverfew varieties I have, but clearly not the same. It could be a different variety, but I would have not said it was feverfew. The leaves are not ”cut” enough. will be very interested to see the flowers!

I agree that it is a little atypical. Again, the smell would tell all.

The foliage has a strong medicinal/chrysanthemum smell when bruised.

I can't get Feverfew to grow for me, although I only tried it once. I love it, that photo is SO cute! I have clay soil that is borderline heavy, somewhat loamy. I thought at the time that was the issue.

I have self sowing Feverfew on very heavy clay, so I don't think that is an issue.

PM2 I started mine from seed years ago and have not had to sow any more since, because it reseeds. I did sow a few different varieties for a couple of years. My favorite is Virgo, although I do like the daisy-like blooms as well.

Ooh, just googled to find a link to Virgo, and I see Johnny's has some yellow-blooming ones. I may have to sow more seeds this winter....

Thank you Dee, for the link to Johnny's. I like their seed. They have a few varieties. I like the photo that Rockdale posted. I think this variety from Johnny's looks similar, but I thought they were low growing? Look at the length of the stems on that.

Floral, there must be a lot of Feverfew seed floating around your area...lol.

PM, my feverfew reseeds and will never disappear, it seems, but is rarely a problem. Johnny’s can be expensive, but there are several varieties available from Select Seeds. I think it’s worth trying again!

PM2 mine grow fairly tall, about 2.5 feet or so. I use them in bouquets often.

Mine reseed as well, and while I like that, the downside is I lose some of the distinct varieties. My Virgo has mostly disappeared (time to re-sow!) and I have mostly the little daisy-type ones now. Although for awhile I did have some Virgo-type one with tiny petals along the edge. I should have paid more attention and saved seed from those!
