I would imagine the white window choice was budget and IMO the inspo pic is awesome becuase of the black windows for contrast . I do not like the style or color of the garage door with that house style. The fact is you could have had the black windows it you had chosen a less complicated house style with fewer gables . Now IMO if white windows then a different color for siding and that IMO needs a pic of your house as it is not a rendering.

I would eliminate the masonry (it is pretentious) and avoid areas on the roof where leaves and debris can potentially accumulate, then think about colors.

You can have white on white. It's not a look that appeals to me, but think about whether you would like it. The second picture shows white windows with a blue-gray exterior which I do like. White exteriors are more farmhouse, darker colors are more contemporary. With either one a medium gray roof is a good choice - it's also a good choice for longevity as it goes with a lot of different exterior colors.

I would like to thank everyone for the comments and suggestions. I've opted for white windows because I just don't like the look of the black ones. It feels to me like a trend that will soon look dated. The pictures I've included is the house that I am building. Thank you kandrewspa for the pictures. I loved them both. Mark Bischak, Architect , thank you for the wise suggestion, but at this point there is not much I can do about those details. I wish I had thought about that before. I'll make sure the builder pays extra attention to that. cpartist fortunately snow is not a problem in my area. mytwo cents yes, the house will sit on a hill, so I will definitely consider that. I also chose white windows and kept a white exterior paint. I am not a fan of black windows. There are many pics online that show this color combination similar to the Holloway home above. and I love them. You have a beautiful home.
