Does anyone know what this blob is?! Need help with what to do

Hi all, does anyone know what this blob is? It has appeared in my garden over the past couple of days. It almost look like coral and it is surrounding some of the stems of my yarrow plants and near my balloon flowers. Any ideas of what it is or how to get rid of it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance

It looks like Dog vomit slime mold. It is generally not harmful to plants but it is unsightly. Has it rained a lot? it usually occurs in damp shady spots and feeds on decaying organic matter. You can scoop it off.

Or spray it away with the hose. It will disappear on its own if you can ignore. And as noted, is completely harmless to living plants.

it one of natures biodegraders.. breaking down your mulch or the humus in your soil..

imo.. its a free show of ma nature.. and a real gardener really doesnt destroy the show ma nature puts on.. its like i never understood the peeps who freak out. when they have a spectacular mushroom show.. why not enjoy the show.. anything with molds mildews and fungi.. are rather short lived... here today gone tomorrow...

no matter how ridiculous the name is...

just dont freak out of you see the stinky one.. that looks like.. oh heck.. i dont know you well enough.. lol .. and it has a horrible name also... lol .. and it aint pretty..

in my MI garden.. when you see one,.,, the other is usually around....

thank you for the feedback! i am very glad to know this isnt serious it looked intimidating when i first saw it and i was worried. it hasnt rained much but it has been extremely humid for quite a stretch so maybe thats why it turned up now.

it turned up now.. because its that time of year .. imo...

its probably extremely humid nights and mornings... that are conducive to mold..mildew.. and fungus growth...

drought does not help.. but then its usually less humid if you go into extended deep drought.. but when the drought breaks.. they will come...

you are hitting all the variables but not recognizing them... good work.. it will all come..

ps: as fall rolls in.. the dewey nights.. will show you all the spider webs all over the yard.. another free show of ma nature.. please dont go out there.. and broom them all out of the plants.. spiders are our friend.. outdoors anyway.. lol... thing is.. by fall .... they have all matured.. so the webs are large... so easy to notice... fall is also a good time for the late fall shroom season.... personally.. id ont eat any of those .. too many can be problematic... but thats a different show...
