Have you tried placing the sofas facing each other in front of the fireplace?

use the ottoman as a coffee table between the sofas a couple feet away from the firebox.

I would mount the TV on the wall, or place it over the mantle? and use the TV credenza behind one of the sofas with some decor on it?

Put the round table in front of the window with your orchid plant and a couple of side chairs for conversation. move the framed picture from the fireplace to the wall near the window.

An area rug under the sofas would be a nice ground. centered on the fireplace, at least front legs of sofas ON the rug. your floor lamp on the end of a sofa near the fireplace.

It you removed the gas fireplace, then you would be able to place the sofa on the wall where the TV currently is and move the TV to the wall where the sofa currently is.
