Noting the pros and cons of each choice should help you decide which one is right for you. From my perspective, the pros of the left tile are that it is the most versatile to change the decor and has less grout. The con is that it doesn’t have the impact of the patterned tile. The pros for the right tile is that it adds a dynamic vibrance to the space and will show less dirt between cleanings. The cons are that it limits your decor possibilities and that a future buyer may not like the bold pattern or colors.

I have a similar patterned tile in our guest bathroom. I usually go with the safe choice (plain) but I love the patterned tile. We Get lots of compliments on it. It’s such a small space that I figured it can be redone if we sell or get tired of it.

I am not sure the right patterned tile goes with the grey strip tile in the shower. I'd keep the tile neutral and buy a rug and blue towels.

I wouldn't do the patterned tile. You need a tile that relates to the tile in the shower. Get something that is pale blue-gray (that's how it appears on my screen anyway). Also, the tile in the shower is more calm, so I would go for a similar vibe for the floor.

It may not be outdated yet but it certainly will date your room. Select something neutral and use pattern in a rug or towels or artwork.

The patterned tile does not work with the cool modern of the accent tile in the shower and the larger tile is OK. Probably can be improved on.

If the larger tile had a little more gray in it, it would be better. That would help it relate to the gray in the accent strip in the tub surround. I like the idea of gray squares or hexagons. Gray is a great color for a bathroom floor. I installed a gray slate look porcelain in the 12 X 24" size in my MB not too long ago and I love it.
