Kitchen Floorplan / Fridge and Range Placement

Attached is proposed kitchen. The red circle is load bearing wall, currently is a full wall, and architect has shortened it and put it in what he feels is the best spot. I think that wall can be moved further in either direction.

The new "play room" is currently an additional dining area, that we are trying to convert to an extra lounge for children/teens and then create an additional bar/drink area plus access to the bathroom (which currently opens into the kitchen and I hate!)

I don't love the placement in this drawing

of the fridge and wall oven. I have proposed to move range across from kitchen sink, and fridge in the more open area where range is currently drawn.

The kitchen only has electric, so I need to decide if aesthetically like the wall oven/separate flat top range, or a combo flat top/oven and eliminate wall oven.

Island currently drawn at 4'by10'.

Any ideas or suggestions- bathroom has to stay where it currently is, we are trying not to move walls.

I wouldn't jam the refrigerator into a corner, because it will be hard to open. You might want to consider putting the ref at the other end of that long run, so that anyone in the DR or FR getting a drink or snack doesn't walk through your work zone. I also don't think I'd like the range directly across from the sink, because it's too tight for two people to work back to back, and because it looks like it will be a tight squeeze in the aisle when the range door is open.

If you post a picture with all dimensions (walls, windows, etc.) you will get better help than my few thoughts here.

This proposed layout has some oddities. If you could post the existing that would help to understand what you were trying to accomplish and your dilemmas in doing that.

Attached are existing plan and new plan with measurements.

Pantry Cabs are existing floor to ceiling.

Powder bath is an expansion to add shower.

Storage and 2nd Dining Room are converting to bunk/playroom.

What we were trying to accomplish is leaving laundry and powder as is to save $.

But to remodel the kitchen to open it up, and move appliances around.

Want 2-3 people to be able to move around and use the kitchen.

Dont love the existing bar height bars - I think counter height islands are just easier for gathering and kids eating. Adults can use the one dining table left. Might not even need the pictured round dining table. Thank you all!

Pardon the mess, but these photos show living room to kitchen and dining room to kitchen view. Trying to open this up. Love your input.

It's a little unclear on demo vs soffits/headers, because the same style of dashed line was used on the proposed drawing. But looking at the pictures and what is proposed, the ceiling looks a bit messy, possibly some changes in plane that have no alignment with what's below, or the ending of a vaulted ceiling with no tangible transition to a wall.
