You don't have a picture of this angle, so I'm not sure - can you move the sofa in so it's at least half on the rug and make room for a table behind it?

How about doing a built-in padded back on the wall and a bench, then a more square, rectangular table with more compact chairs?

It looks like you have a door to go outside and then a set of patio doors next to it can you put the table in front of thepatio doors and just use the other to get outside I think that would bea good use of the spce but maybe not a round table

Can’t see the rest of the kitchen, it’s possible to place a rectangular table against the end of the island? Like this picture.

Move that small table out and scoot your dining table more in front of the large window, centered on that wall. Done.

We can't see the whole space. It might be possible to move the sectional forward and place a table between the island and sectional. However, if keeping your current set up, you might take the table off the wall some, or use a bench on that side. Here are some dining room ideas that might just help you more.

I’d move the sofa way up and use the leg rests somewhere else. put a table behind the sofa
