Any offsets can be... offset by careful handling of landscape and hardscape. I don't think there's a right answer.

Remove that planting bed and have the pool accessed by the back patio. Your designer will make it look good. It needs to relate to the house, not the lot.

Align the pool to the patio I do not think the lot line has much to do with this other than any set backs for the lot line .

Make sure you're not too close to the lot line before they start digging the hole. :-) I would align it with the house.

A consultation with a landscape designer could help you. It looks like if you put it all the way back, you may not have much privacy from the house behind you. Lots of people come here looking for ways to get privacy for their pools.
