I was wondering if anyone knew a source for Pinus douglasiana, seeds, seedlings, etc... I haven't seen any source for seedlings or even seeds online, probably because a majority of its population is limited to Jalisco and several disjunct locations. We usually get down to 25-35F at its low during the winter, so I grow most of my conifers indoors. During the summer my area reaches 85-100F on average. I just got into conifers recently, a year ago, and only have seedlings; that is until they outgrow my living environment. Might move somewhere warmer eventually, but I don't know.

This range limitation is also the same for Pinus jaliscana, which also does not have any current sources (I would think).

I own a Pinus maximartinezii, Pinus torreyana, Pinus patula, and a Pinus ayacahuite var. veitchii. I want to own Pinus nelsonii, Pinus culminicola, Pinus pinceana, and other pinyon pines, since they are smaller than usual pines, and produce pine nuts. Pinus douglasiana, with my reading, would require a vast amount of space, namely height.

I am guessing that going to Mexico for seeds is the only possible option.
