Looks like a great place! Is it possible to have stairs on each side at the end of the porch? This could make the area feel even larger and create a nice area for entertaining without a break of stairs in the middle.

I'd like to see what is in the back yard, to the area the stairs give access. I like the idea of stairs at both ends if the other end is an area where you would go.

A simple railing. Not too modern. A classic design, possibly interrupted 2 or 3 times between each post with a different spindle with some design to it.

I think each door should have it own stair case. Run the railings down of the support columns.
