On each side of where the hall tree is but substitute it with a console table and mirror as you mentioned...and then the sconces on each side of the mirror. Very nice.

I love that wallpaper but wonder why aren't you papering all the walls in the foyer? That would be spectacular. Especially with that moody living room beyond. It's also the trend in design.

Are the fixtures ordered? It seems like a few too many pointy stars. And I think something might be nice in the same metal as well.

The sconces are ordered but not the star chandelier. I decided I am still going with the star chandelier because I just love it so much. Should I do matte black or gold for the chandelier?

Whole room wallpaper is trending as opposed to one accent wall. I'm afraid your accent wall in here could make the entry space appear unfinished.

I like the more enveloping concept of entering into a papered foyer. Then if you hate it tear it out as you mentioned...but I doubt it.

As far as finish for the chandelier...up to you...you have great taste.
