I ordered these woven wood shades and the dealer doesn't seem to know how to measure correctly. They admitted I was their first woven wood customer, and had a new trainee measure the windows. When I complained about them being too long, they tried to gaslight me and said they were fine, I just "wasn't happy with the length." So I asked them for some pictures of shades installed like this from the manufacturer, which they couldn't provide. Then they said they could "safety pin up the excess length," which I said fine, provide some documentation the manufacturer would honor the warranty on a pinned up blind, which they couldn't do. Lots of excuses and back and forth, finally, they agreed to replace them, and they were still too long! I asked the owner to come out and see them, and remeasure before reordering, which she never did. I also asked the installer to take pictures and have the owner call me which she never did. (They also were sorta ratty looking with rough edges and strings.) So, I reached out to the manufacturer and inquired whether the shades were supposed to gap/bulge at the bottom, and the rep confirmed with the sales department that they were supposed to lay flat, as is in all the pictures online. I also sent them pictures and a copy of my PO, though they haven't responded yet, doesn't seem like they stand behind their product or want to question their dealers. I am going to see about having another dealer who has successfully installed the shades flat to redo them. What a nightmare!
