^ Agree…go with the trim color. Another reason is, depending on the cream/beige color, the white trim right next to it could make it look dingy/dirty.

What kind of shades are you considering? Fabric, wood, cellular or shutters?

IMO it depends on the shade you are using. If solar then a dark color lets you have a better view if cellular the same as the trim . So post a pic of the space and the blinds post here in a comment DO NOT start another post.

Thank you to all who responded, and I'm so sorry I have not replied. I just discovered that my email program has been sending selected Houzz messages to my junk email. Obviously I should have been checking the website itself rather than relying on emails.

I initially need a cellular shade, then eventually will add drapes. I will add photos of the room, you may have seen them before as I have asked other questions about this room.

PS I know the room needs a lot more than just window coverings, it needs styling, too. I've removed the little end tables and wreath and floral arrangements already and will be putting art on the walls.

I still think trim color is best.

Thank you, chloebud and Susie, and all who responded earlier. chloebud, good point made earlier about the white trim possibly making a cream shade look dirty. I would prefer white so am glad that seems to be the consensus.
