With everything burred out it’s hard to tell what’s going on here. Do you have the ability to hang the art at the same height? Do you have room for console tables with lamps at each side? Are you imagining just the art and some light? Can you do something hardwired (sconce) above the art?

Your TV is mounted too high above the fireplace and the art is positioned too low on the walls but it can all be fixed.

You can use picture lights that plug into the wall with a cord. Hide the cord behind the artwork.

They also make battery operated ones that can be mounted on the wall.

IMO you should place chests on either side of the fireplace with the art positioned above.

I would try light bulbs in 2700K - 3000K range for a warm relaxing feel...the color temp of an incandescent. With the twin chests and table lamps as suggested ^, would be enough uplight.

With those picture lights it sounds nice. A softer look.

The picture lights could be around 3500K - 4000k to bring out the art.

Oh wow this is incredible…you guys are simply amazing. I’m not married to this particular art, but the concept i love!!! My only concern is lights that face downwards? Ah nvm i see the solution! As for the chests, i assume they need to be custom made? Or is it possible to find them at the right size etc?

the space on either side is exactly 45" -- and i can't seem to find anything fabulous that is NOT at least 47" :( is there a workaround? i assume the max dimensions are ideal.... hmmmm.... anything black and gold i pretty much love!

42" wide is plenty. Even 36" wide is enough width in a 47 inch space, 5 open inches each side!

Unless it is very open in feeling. You don't need to flood the nooks with light. Lamp or picture light and add a recessed in the soffits: )

Lamp OR picture light with a recessed soffit light? But if no recessed light I suppose both are still good.

I found these that i think i love! when im done cleaning ill take more pictures - the living room is very open with very tall walls - & ive come to realize i love contrast! most of these are 30-37” though :/ any creative minds think any could work out??

The art should be lit with 2700k light like in most museums... 3000k max. The art most likely was created in that temperature range of light so it makes sense.

Or find an accent color you can love in your space, and paint these. A glossy deep emerald...? Maybe decide your art in a permanent way, first
