Could it be that there was a wall stud in the way, so it was not possible to center the plumbing?

Wendy I totally get where you are coming from because I am a little ocd when it comes to symmetry and I am bothered by things being slightly off center..

That said, your pot filler does not bother me in the least because as your contractor said, I rarely see them perfectly centered.

I clicked on Teresa’s link, and I think I only saw one that was perfectly centered. Most are off set, so when they are folded against the backsplash they appear more centered.

I am not familiar with pot fillers, so I wondered if maybe the arm on yours could swivel so that it folds against the wall to the left side instead? I think it might give the illution of being more centered that way. But again, I think it looks fine as is.

The Cloe backsplash in the square shape looks amazing btw!!

If I wanted to blow some money in the kitchen I'd install a whole house water filter or reverse osmosis system to get the fluoride & residue out of the water. I run the water for a bit before I pour it into any pots anyway so what good is a pot filler???

Wasn't the rough plumbing there when the cabinets got placed? You should have been able to measure before the backsplash went in, which would have been the time to ask to make any changes.

Had a pot filler for years and loved it. Zero issues. It was centered but think it was luck of stud placement? Anyway, don’t have one now in our current home and I miss it.

Designing a kitchen reno right now and I honestly prefer the look when they are NOT centered! Yours looks great to me :)

The asymmetry isn’t noticeable, and depending on which burners you are using it may be necessary to be off center to better reach one of the front burners.

I think Pot fillers look better offset and either a little toward the left or right. Center looks odd to me for some reason. Look in magazines to see what looks best to you! All the pictures I recently googled shows them to the right or left! I put mine off to the right so when the arm is extended it will be in the center.
