Take a look at Hubbardton Forge. They have a lot of flush and semi flush fixtures that might work.

LED lights are hyped but far from ideal for most people, including that many of them flicker and are harsh. You just need a light fixture you like more.

You've got hex on the floor. If that doesn't bore you, how about taking it to the ceiling?

I like the geometry of this pedant with the octogon shapes on the floor, and love the texture it brings to the room. It might be impractical in a kitchen, though, if you often fry with oil. It’s from article.com.

Open up that cabinet door that is near the light fixture that you want to replace. How far does the door reach, relative to the light fixture? That will restrict the size of the fixture that you should be looking at. What other lighting do you have in your kitchen?
