Do echinacea, shasta daisy, and bee balm plants spread?

I planted individual plants of these species in my cedar raised beds. Can I expect them to spread in the raised beds?

Yes, I would expect them to spread. Give them a couple-few years, though.

echinacea spread by seed - don't mulch and don't weed out the seedlings

shasta clumps gradually grow larger then you can divide the clump

bee balm (monarda) spread from the roots quite a bit when happy

Depending on the specific cultivar, both echinacea and monarda will happy seed themselves. Some of the fancy hybrid echinaceas don't seed themselves. The regular purple coneflower echincea does.

Their clumps will also increase over time.

I've never seen shasta daisies seed themselves but the clumps will increase as well.
