I thought about an L sectional but its corner would block the traffic flow.

Two sofas or loveats in an L would also work.

You could also consider side tables between the amrchairs, a large ottoman instead of a coffee table, a couple of lightweight poufs to move around for the feet or for extra seating, a round coffee table might clear the hearth better than a square one.

Tape it out on the floor to get correct sizes.
