If you could attach pictures of the three spaces and advise what your ”wants” are, you’ll get more helpful advice.

Hi Kelli, it depends on what kind of patterns and colors you were thinking of having in those spaces. I think having the same pattern could be a bit too much for the space maybe even a bit boring, you can unite the living room, stairs and entry by having different rugs with a repeating color rather than the same pattern. Maybe having the same pattern in the entry and stairs but then mixing it up in the living room.
