That size is not appropriate to the size of your fireplace. You are not finding an oddball tile size because it is an oddball tile size. What you really appear to want is to clad this in a custom stone slab. Visit a fabricator. Be aware that the inside corners at the firebox will all need to be radiused, or it will crack.

Use Kerlite ultra-thin tile panels. You'll have one seam. I've used it many times.

Agree - I would go with stone slabs instead of tiles, you need to go to a local stone yard where they sell countertops (marble, quartzite etc) and choose there - they may have a smaller remnant that will work, it is a great way to get incredible stone at a good price

ETA - one thing to think about with tiles is that they date pretty quickly these days thanks to Insta - my surround is marble slab installed in the 1920's - still looks low key & current. My neighbor has ripped out two rounds of tile from her FP - first a busy mosiac from the 1990's and most recently the overdone grey encaustic tiles - so just something to keep in mind when going with tile, something clean and classic will age best

As I suggested the last time you posted this... you could get fluted tile panels or even small squares of the same counter top stone across the room. I think I'd prefer some continuity for this room.

I would vote for stone around the FP opening.

You might want to begin looking for something large enough to place over the hearth.

Thanks Paul. So I’m pretty basic. I didn’t pick out the countertops (or kitchen) not a huge fan but the rest of what I can pick out is going to be more simple. If I was a little more adventurous I’d do the fluted tiles

Beverly, I really like the mirror but I’ll probably put a TV there. Unfortunately the house doesn’t have a media room so the living room will have to do. Maybe a TV that doubles as a picture 😁

La_la. Buying remnants would save a ton of money. I probably wouldn’t find anything thin enough though. Usually remnants are from countertops that are way too thick. Darn it!

Paul I looked at that link and the tiles are great. Sadly, I searched for a supplier near by and there aren’t any that pulled up.

Porcelanosa has thin porcelain slabs in sizes you need. Used on my fireplaces. The problem might be finding good fabricator

I agree either real stone slabs or porcelanosa material . Sometimes what you want and what you can have are not the same.

There are plenty of thin tile slabs; you will need expert installers for them though. Go to any good tile showrooms in your area and see, Sizes are not the problem, with panels going over

110 x40 and only a 1/4" thick.

Have you checked Floor and Decor? I do not see the 60 inch on their site, but in store displays they have slabs that definitely fit your measurements. Daltile also has super large slabs.

Keen, thank you. I actual went to floor and decor and got a sample yesterday. I believe Daltile only sells to contractors, which I guess if fine because no way would I want to handle a slab that size. Thanks a ton!
