I really dislike rattan blinds I think they look much better outside . I use solar shades to control UV and heat they also give you day time privacy I them mix them with drapes for night time privacy if needed.I can'r really see the colors in the rug in the DR but a nice drape inlinen or even faux silk in a color from the rug would be nice

love the blinds, yes, I would add simple Linen panels.

If you are excited to add drapes you can see above how it looks, but you don't need them.

I like rattan and natural fiber blinds, but I am not in love with these particular blinds in your room with your furniture.

I am not seeing the color repeated anywhere except on one wine bottle label and they just feel loud against all the dark wood and cool gray/greige upholstery and rugs.

Here is a post with lots of woven and wood shades in rooms, notice how the blinds work with the other elements in the room . . . Might give you some ways to make your blinds feel more like part of the room.

I often think of rooms like outfits I might wear. If I were dressed in an outfit that included your wall color your sofa color, and your wood/floor color. and the colors in your area rug would I pick an orange beige coat or blazer or tie???

I love the blinds. The linen drapes would had some softness and sound dampening but I also like the spareness of no curtains. Perhaps that is because in current interior photos no window treatments at all seem to be the decor de jour…at least on Houzz.
