What was the random pic in the middle ? If it was inspiration you have avery long road ahead. Post a to scale plan here , take pictures with the lights on and the curtains open. Are you keeping all the furniture ? Waht is your style you are wanting? In the drawing sow all windows , doorways and where those lead. Is this the only place for TV? Post the drawing and answers in comments here the drawing posted in jpeg formt All of this in this post DO NOT start another post. I aslo suggest you post some pics in your idea books that helps us understand what you like.

I'd spin the sectional to face the window. Mount the TV on the window wall, and create a seating/conversation area facing the window. Change the window covering to an inside mount blind (top down/bottom up) and put the table/credenza behine the sectional on this side with a lamp on it. get a couple floor lamps to help lighten up the dark corners of the room.

I agree with mytwocents on switching the layout, and no to a full wall of curtains. With the sectional under the window and on that short wall, the two wing chairs can be side by side with a table in between on an angle facing the TV. That layout will give a good balance to the room. I feel the curtains can stay as is--they are simple and you can concentrate of the tv wall as mytwocents suggested.

The wall next to the window is a perfect place for a large piece of art. Looks like your style is southwestern from the design of your rug. Look for art with desert colors (Erin Hanson) or black and white photo art (Ansel Adams).

A large piece of Art can really bring in a wave of deftness and add more color and life to your room. It acts as a style to your room.

The scale of your sectional is too big for the size of the room. Actually, a sectional is probably not your best choice - a sofa would be better.

Also agree with mytwocents. This is not a great room for a sectional. When budget allows consider 2 swivel chairs to go with your new sofa.

Maybe do feet instead of inches next time.🙂. It’s easier to visualize dimensions in feet rather than inches, and having to do math in my head on a Sunday is just not happening for me!!!

In the short term, without having to replace everything, blah blah, try this. End table at the near end of the sectional, with a table lamp. Long art over the couch on that wall. Another picture that you like to see to the right of the window. See how far that gets you.

If you really want a more defined entrance, then you either need the two chairs together on the near side with a table in between, or the long side of the couch there.

It looks like there are a few things you might be able to do to help this space. Are you open to getting a sofa and two chairs over using a sectional? If so that might make the space work better. If not, then you might look at floating the sectional in the space facing the window and place the TV to the right of the window. This might allow you to place a sofa table behind the sofa as well and decorate it with lamps or various things that are needed.
