Hi everybody. We just had our soapstone island installed and the stone we picked out did not have this black veining. The fabricator/installer assured me they are natural fissures in the stone, but I wanted your advice. Natural fissures? Or cracks that need repair? If they are cracks, will the stone need to be replaced? When the stone is oiled, the lines are much fainter and hard to photograph.
