So the girls’ closets have 9-foot ceilings with one bedroom closet a total of 12-feet wide and the other bedroom closet a total of 10-feet wide. Boys’ rooms have 8-foot ceilings. One boy’s closet is 42-inches wide. The other boy’s is 6-feet wide. Are you saying that I just need to match the other doors in the house and that these (see pic) would be overkill?

I use Lee Valley for some nice stainless pulls in my contemporary home they come in lots of sizes and i still find them good bang for you buck I do not think the long handles are over kill at all in a tall closet door BTW. Check them out and see what is available in black if that is what you want.

You can use Singapore in the addition. The black handle look is nicer than any of the pulls posted.

The LONG handle does not well suit the door in your first picture. It is fine on a barn door.

Why would you switch hardware in the addition, when they are similar to a fault, and Halifax looks sleeker less chunky?

Don't complicate a thing that isn't at all complicated.

It might be crazy but it drives me nuts that the Halifax handles are never truly straight—they always angle down a bit—and each door at a dlightly different angle. The chunky aspect of the Singapore removes that problem. I also do like a chunky vibe. Especially with a massive door to stand up tou. Thoughts?

I love the modern look and the geometric idea. It might be nice to balance all the angles around with that semicircle though all must be in matte black. I like the idea of fun for kids but they will ultimately fill the room with too many lizards and glass/pottery productions of their own so I want to set up a more neutral backdrop for that to limit /contain the chaos they will likely create in their own spaces. Great ideas! Keep em coming! :)

Is this a kids room or a decorator showcase? Why don’t you ask them what they want. And if you think they are going to keep handles straight guess again. BTW door hardware does not need to match throughout the house, certainly not in the kids room. Loosen up and take a walk on the wild side.

Try IKEA kitchen handles. They have 13-16” long black handles for $17-22 for a 2 pack. The stainless steel versions are slightly less expensive. I’ve had the stainless ones in my kitchen for over 15 years and they are still in great condition!
