Boring door color. Wracking my brain! Thanks in advance!

No one can see the door unless you're in front of it so pick a color. Any color.

Have the roof cleaned. The current condition reduces the life of your roof. It can be sprayed without anyone even walking on it. Looks like the siding and the walkways need some TLC also.

Believe it or not, I had the roof cleaned last year. 19 live oaks hanging over are unkind and yes, the home needs some TLC. Thanks.

I think the door looks fine the way it is. If you want it brighter than it is, try a bright turquoise and some big pots of colorful flowers next to the entry way. I agree, house roof needs to be cleaned. It is the first thing I noticed when I saw your picture, and if you are looking for curb appeal, that takes away from it. I would also put pots of colorful flowers on each side of the garage doors. Lantana is bright and colorful, and if you water it a lot, it does well, if that is full sun there. Also, maybe try to clean the walkway. The trees are beautiful, but, they are very messy.

    I like that!

Despite having the house and roof power washed a year ago, based on the comments received and actually looking at the pictures, I have scheduled an appointment for next week. Still looking for front door color suggestions though!

The door is inset so much you won't really see any colour, but the blue suggested is nice. Or pick up a colour from the garden you can love with. (E.g. purple-blue)

Let me clarify ... a greyer version of the bluey-purple

I think a front "rug" that goes the full length of the hallway to the front door would also up your look, in something pretty bright that goes with your new door color. Do you have a color scheme inside that would inspire you?

Good idea Jenny! A rug would look nice! These trees wreck havock with everything though. I imagine a washable outdoor rug might work. Inside I’m planning on a white with a gentle hint of dusty rose for the walls.

Check out Chilewich for outdoor rugs they just hose off when dirty . I think i would find the rug first then choose a color from it for the door ,I would also add some landscaping along the drive/ walkway to lead to the front door

When your front door is in a visual cave, you need to use a very bright color to draw the eye. Your yellow siding eliminates that color, but you could try a bright green, blue, or violet!

I like the blue that Lyn suggested and also the idea about a rug that leads into that "hallway" space. My parent's home is under several oak trees and the amount of work to keep the roof and lawn tidy is unbelievable - always something to do.

Looks like you have a spot where the water pools and makes the black spot on sidewalk. It's caused by rain running down the roof where the roof lines meet and splashing over the side of the gutter. I see you have the gutter guard, so maybe it has taken care of the problem. If not, you can also install inexpensive diverters that help disperse the water so it doesn't run down the area in one spot. We did this on our home in an area just like that and it took care of the issue. Only in extremely hard downpours will we see if doing this. To keep sidewalks and driveways clean, I recently discovered the surface cleaner attachment for my pressure washer. You may already know about this, but it's a game changer if you haven't.

A couple of other things to consider doing is to change out your light fixture or paint the one you have currently. You could also paint that dark trim around the door to white. You may also want to consider new planters for your plants so they look pulled together and in groupings rather than individual plants. Have fun decorating!

Get the trees trimmed up away from the house. I know it's expensive (just had ours done) but they will ruin your roof & siding.

Really like the Wythe Blue from Lyn.

Just wanted to add that your colorful perennial bed and potted green plants show your green thumb. If your trees are thriving just as much, I can see why keeping them in check may be a yearly event.

I love the Wyeth Blue suggestion. It is true that due to the depth of the entry you are not going to see any color much from far away. But it is a beautiful color up close and goes nicely with your siding color and all of your greenery.

I would not do a long runner. It seems like you get a lot of tree and other debris and it seems like more work to keep it clean than I'd ever want to do. (I'm pretty lazy though.) the folliage around the base of your center tree in your yard is just spectacular. What a green thumb and a lovely home.
