Reveiw the manufacturer's installation instructions. If the work is outside the recommendations ask to have it installed correctly. If it's within the specs determine if the changes you want can be done within the installation specs. You'll have to pay for the change.

As an alternative, you may want to choose a different product, like a Toto. It may specify a cleaner install.

I wouldn't be happy with what you have. The access panel on the wall isn't level.

I'd be ok with the location of the electrical; if the receptacle ever needed to be worked on, it would be nice to be able to easily access it. You could tidy it up with a small, nylon cable clamp or two to hold the cord tighter to the wall.

As for the shutoff valve, it could have been placed closer to the toilet base, but it would be a fair amount of work and cost to move it in 6". If it were me, I'd place a nice waste basket in front of it and call it good.

Nope, you are not being too picky, that doesn’t look good. We have a Duravit wall hung toilet with a Senso wash seat and there is no exterior shut off valve or electrical connection.

The shut off valve is located in the actuator box, the water connection for the seat is located inside the carrier and routed inside the toilet and connected to the seat that way. The electric supply also runs through the toilet.

Nope agree not too picky! i thought the point of a wall hung toilet was to get rid of all that stuff! we don’t have electric to ours but water line is in the wall. i guess i should see where there is a shut of valve t toilet 😬😬. but i can easily shut off water to house in a pinch. never needed to for a toilet before…. how to fix it at this point is a whole different story. ours was hung to high on accident but there was no way we were going to ask for everything to be ripped out. at that point we were ready to be done.

I have 2 wall-hung toilets. I don't have a heated seat or any special features (which I assume yours does), but I also don't have any cords dangling outside like that. Break out the installation manual (or find one online) and see if that is correct because I can't imagine that it is.

Can't even mince words: those cords look awful. Are the floor tiles cut oddly too? And as small as I am, I'd have a hard time reaching the toilet paper holder on the wall. No, I'd want this re-done.

I have needed to shut off water for a toilet, but it happens so infrequently that I don't mind getting down on my knees and reaching to the back.

Who said you're too picky? The installer who doesn't want to re-do this work?
