We will be heating it in the winter, more like 58°. But maybe that’s unrealistic? 65 just seems quite warm. We usually set our full time home thermostat at 68 in the winter. Now that I’ve been aware of that condition I’ve seen a couple LVP brands rated to 32°. So stone can freeze but not stone composite?? Seems odd.

My questions may seem irrelevant to you, but to properly answer your question more information is needed.

You're on the right track if you're finding products with a lower minimum temperature rating. I think the 65 degree requirement is an outlier.

Our vacation home of 30+ years has site-finished oak floors. We are in the northeast in a beach community and winter temps range from 50-60 all the way down to below freezing, with occasional snow. We don't use the house much in the winter and keep the thermostat at 55 degrees--the floors have not been affected one bit from this approach.
