Where is everything going?

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. The plantation shutters are staying. They are so easy to maintain. The whirlpool tub is out! My contractor said he would build a window seat where tub is. I was thinking about wainscoting halfway (or a little more) up the wall. How is this going to hold up to moisture? I am getting a better exhaust fan than what the builder put in.

I'm confused about what you are actually doing. You are removing the tub and putting in just a bench? Then you will only have a shower?

I don't think the blue tiles and the hex go together.

I think your room looks a bit choppy for waincotting. It would have to wrap around the toilet walls.

I would do paint only, a clean white that goes with your flooring. Shiplap, wainscotting, etc will make your room look choppy I think, and doesn't really work well with the turquoise tiles. Artwork instead of shelving over toilet. Add turquoise and gray for textiles - a hint of black in the accessories in the room would work well.

Yes tub is being removed and I’m not replacing. I have another bathroom in the house with a tub. I was thinking of doing something like this to fill in that area. Maybe flip top storage or turn into laundry bins? Any thoughts on this paint color or stay with whites with my natural wood tone vanity? See now I would have never thought about it looking choppy with the wainscoting. I’m even more nervous now!

I just want to mention that the blue tiles were accent tiles for shower and hex was only on the shower floor. I’m using the large tile for the shower walls and bathroom floors. In this photo is a friends bathroom which is exactly like mine. They used the larger tiles in shower, but different accent tiles. I’m doing in the teal glass color.

Clt3, your vanity looks similar to mine! Very pretty! I love the teals and blues! I live in a shore community and just find it to be relaxing colors.

Nancy, personally I'm not a fan of the accent stripes. To me, they are dated.

I would get an aqua tile for the shower walls.

eld6161 , I support, I also like something more in calm colors. We also renovated our bathroom a year ago, we chose gray and white colors and I don't regret that we didn't make any bright inserts and chose tiles of a "calm" color.

Would love to see the finished project also.
