Have you looked at Plank Hardware? They’re in the UK but all of our hardware arrived in about a week Excellent styles, quality, and price. We used Becker pulls with backplates and Swift knobs on our white shaker cabinets and they look stunning

Do not decide until after paint. You do NOT need to drill holes prior to paint

That "gold" chunky one does not look right on your doors. Too wide for the space you have. I would do knobs on those upper cabinets.

Do not do any drilling till you decide on what hardware you want. Get some samples of hardware and see how they look against your cabinets. Tape them in place. Take your time choosing hardware. It needs to be functional and aesthetically pleasing to you. Hardware is like adding jewelry to an outfit. Best of luck on your journey!

I’ll say all knobs - no pulls. You don’t have a ton of overly wide drawers so minimize the metal altogether.

Also, looks like you will be replacing the backsplash - consider 2 things - patch and paint the side wall so it’s just drywall there and no tile. Also patch the wall on the right so your new backsplash will end with and align with the upper cabinet. It will look more pulled together overall.

All done except upper larger cabinets....thoughts on knobs like those above stove vs pulls in same size as drawers or other size?

This is really a must read for those who are facing the daunting challenge of choosing kitchen cabinet hardware. I also agree with Jan Moser - two pulls on the drawers in the pic above - not the best choice. There is nothing wrong with different size pulls on different size drawers. In fact, I just replaced the stainless pulls on my white cabinets with black ones like those in the above picture. I didn’t even realize I actually had 4 different size drawer pulls in my own kitchen - I thought I had only 2 sizes! Don’t be afraid to use different sizes - looks fine and actually look better because they are more proportional to the drawer width. If you find pulls you like at a big box store, but not all the sizes, go on-line to find the brand and style and you will probably find all the sizes you need are available. Also, you may find packs of 10, for example, at better pricing than buying them individually in the store.

Just personal taste -- I like all pulls, but a lot of people like knobs up top. (Knobs on lowers mean yanked headphones and torn pockets!)

Oh, as to the tiles, shot is too far away to really say. But you should be thinking about tying in your floor tile color a bit, so maybe lean warmer?

@Jan Moyer...not sure how to tag a reply to you...but yes I left it to late to post to Houzz...didn't even think to do it til day before decisions needed :( and yes I am super made about the big drawer handle placement, sent pic to contractor of how I wanted it and talked on phone and he said he would put them 3-4 inches from edge and they are nearly 6 inches....they look super weird but husband says it looks fine! we have other issue we are getting fixed so I am hesitant to be forward about this issue with contractor....another issue was drawer front was made of MDF which was not clear from our other contractor...thought they would be wood! So now I feel stuck or need to completely replace drawer fronts,...first time project manager and learning I need to be more clear/firm with my expectations.

If that is the only set of drawers looking so odd? Meaning it's just those two drawers. ......I guess the logical answer is line up with the upper drawers, EVEN if it means new drawer face.

But my real point is one, especially on what looks to be a 24 inch wide drawer. Better is one single centered pull, REASONABLY proportionate to the drawer width. Meaning a single pull at nine inches would have been great. It is also a more functional aspect as well.

When I select hardware? I base everything on drawer sizes, try to limit it to only two sizes and use the shorter of those two sizes on the upper and lower doors. Often , and amazingly so, that will mean a 6" / 9"combo in a new kitchen. Or 6', 9" and a knob if necessary or more desirable. . Easy peasy : ) and why I rarely use a cup pull lol

Hiya! The drawers are actually 30 inches wide! But our contractor is going to replace the drawer fronts so we can fix the handle issue… our Cabinet Painter did put those in the wrong location so whether we do two pulls or one our contractor agrees that it needs to be fixed!

What would you recommend for a 30 inch drawer?

@Ann Crisp - I'd do 8" on a 30" drawer - that's what I'm doing. I personally don't love an oversized handle.

Nine inches looks great : ) Center one. In fact, If your selection comes in a 12", that works VERY well What you are using now in a twosome , even relocated? I'd forget that idea altogether. Please just do one. If yours comes in nine or 12? Perfect. Trust me, it will open: ) with a single hand

Right now I’m using two 5 inch so 9 or 12 sounds good …. Only issue is my husband need some convincing he seems to think of a single handle will bother him and or not work well. 😳…. update cabinet contractor came and removed the cabinet fronts and he’s going to do them over with a different kind of MDF, or wood…. He totally agreed the painter didn’t put the pulls in the correct spot!

You can TEST right on the blank behind it. Screw even a single of one you have . right in the center. It's gonna be covered!

Finally got new drawer fronts now I need to make a decision 12 inch pulls or two 5 inch pulls to match the drawers above!

That looks too big - I would do 8” or 9”

Is this not done yet? Seriously? Give the man 8.5 inch pulls everywhere, ask him who does most of whatever needs doing in that kitchen.

I guarantee, you don't want your new painted /refreshed anything drawers yanked at/ ruined when he insists on grabbing a drawer with ONE darn hand and he will. Everyone does! Force him to use one hand in the safe CENTER. Easier and preserves your drawer.

@janmoyer!! Not done yet because the cabinet painter messed it up and got paper stuck to the edges so he had to take them away and repaint them. This has been a big hassle with these new drawer fronts!
