I chose top left geometric because the colors blend well, but I prefer the top right exactly because of what Mystic Pools said. Out of these 4 options, that one is the least busy. I would rather see a less patterned tile as well. Good luck!

The glass tile will come in 12x12 sheets which are cut in half to allow for a 6" water line tile.

They come in may shapes and sizes. We've done subway tile look glass, 2x6 or 2x9 and they can be nice.

The 1x1's are just my personal favorite. Some have very vibrant and multi-colors depending on the time of day.

Much too busy! Look at something like Oceanside 1x1 glass in Sparrow, with the iridescence. Works with the white plaster, with just a hint of sparkle and variable color.

Would a 2x6 tile like this work with white coping/plaster or will it be too washed out?

Was there a reason given why to stay away from glass tile?

There are lovely watery blue/grey/green mixed tiles that come in 6x6 - just keep looking. I like this type of look because it just flows with the water color of the pool and doesn’t create a statement. I find the small mosaics harder to keep clean (more grout) and they can tend to pop off easier.

I chose the only one with blue because I think something the color of water (blues, aquas, turquoise famlies) would look prettiest.

We started using glass tile on projects over 15 years ago without any issues. Even in our seasonal freeze/thaw conditions in the Northeast.

Like anything, it is the way the product is installed. From the prepping to the proper setting material will provide durability and longevity. Any good, experienced tile setter will know this.

I love the top left - it blends beautifully with the surrounding stone. Great pool!
