My first thought is that the lovely clock should be moved to a different place where it can be better seen. Then center the table appropriately and add a gallery wall above it. If there is an outlet near by you might be able to add a lamp on the one end. I would also get a larger more colorful rug for that area. If you are up for it you might consider painting the table ( black ?) because the current color is very blah against the wall color.

I didn’t think about painting the table, but you are correct, it kinda fades away with the current wall color. I’m tempted to repaint the entryway and den/dining/kitchen as they are all open to each other and all the same color, but it will be awhile before that can be done. I’ll move the clock and see if I can find a better carpet, as well. Thank you for the ideas!
