Suggestions for a "partially finished" half bath in basment.

I'm looking for a cost effective way to add a partially finished half bath in this corner of my basement. There is existing plumbing there. The house was built in 1950 so it's probably original. I'm just looking for ideas on a cheap way to do this myself. I'm not looking to add framing or drywall on the block wall yet I just want to frame around where I added lines in the second pic and work on the rest later. The room on the left is a cellar, I thought I could maybe just put a sliding barn door there for now. Any ideas on cheap wall panels I could use or any other advice?

FRP panels are quick and easy, and give you a cleanable, finished surface.

In front of the stairs? That's no location for a bathroom of any kind. There is absolutely nothing cheaper than studs and drywall.

@DeWayne That's just two steps that lead into a Cellar. I wanted to avoid drywall due to having no experience with it.

Time to get experience with it. If drugged out meth addicts can do it daily, so can you.

An unfinished basement bathroom is a perfect opportunity to learn and practice drywall skills. But then, I'm always game to learn new construction techniques (I built my first deck this year, at age 61).
