Please define what you mean by "mid-range" price - different people will think mid-range means $5k, $10k, even $30K, so you need to be more specific.

In any case, it is not the best idea to get a package of one brand of appliances. Different brands are better at one kind of appliance than another. Get different brands of appliances. All the same brand is a leftover idea from 30 years ago.

Bosch makes very good dishwashers, I'd get a Bosch dishwasher. Their refrigerators would be also be good except the "fingerprint-resistant easy clean stainless steel" has been full of issues. Whether it's a Bosh or another company, make sure it is real stainless steel, not the coating that is called "fingerprint-resistant" or "easy clean". Are you getting a French door style or a side-by-side? Try to avoid water in the door just because those have the highest rate of repairs.

For microwaves, it used to be that Sharp made all of them, and then other companies just rebadged them with their own names. Now it seems that the Chinese company Midea makes all the microwaves and then other companies put their badges on them. So for that reason, I think it's best to buy a microwave that has the features you want in the price range you want, and do not pay a higher price just for a brand name.

As to the "stove" that you said - are you talking about a gas range, an electric range, or a dual fuel range?

Thanks Roy, I am in Ontario Canada. I was hoping to buy all these appliances for 10,000-12,000 I really would like matching handles. I know that matchy matchy does not matter but I really would like a cohesive look in my new kitchen. Thanks for the info on finger-print resistant.

There are many sizes and types of refrigerators, at least four types of ranges (gas, dual-fuel, radiant, induction), several types of microwave ovens, two sizes and several dishwasher finishes. Have you measured your appliance cutouts? You might check Consumer Reports appliance reviews ($10/month digital) though prices are often higher and selection lower in Canada (than in USA). Requiring "matching handles" will significantly reduce your options; all stainless steel appliances even from multiple manufacturers will look adequately "cohesive". There are lots of refrigerators and dishwashers that have no handles at all (example) if matching handles is the concern.

The statement above regarding microwave oven OEMs is not the case. For example, Sharp manufactures all drawer microwaves.
