I’m a red lover, and it is the number 1 power color in Eastern Feng Shui. Personally, i would not want that much red in a bedroom, because it’s such a high energy color. But that is overall a personal preference. Although, I do think the optimum place for red paint on wall(s) is in a dining room/area. And this is why you often see red used in restaurants and eateries. Red walls can also work well in some home theater rooms, game rooms, etc.

But you created a nice design. Very nice room. It’s so nice to see vibrant color around here... and it‘s wonderful that they still love their space, after so many years!

My parents had a similar rug. We used it as a wall hanging in their den and selected three different upholstery fabrics based on the rug. Fun to take cues from interesting textiles.
