Is it only one bed and one desk?

IMO that size room can barely handle a queen bed . I would also cahnge the closet doors to bypass then maybe a tiny wall mounted desk might work. A flor plan showing window and doorway is really needed to be able to know for sure . Draw the floor to scale show window and doorway and which way the door swings. Use graph pape rit makes irt easy to do scaled drawing. Post here in jpeg format in a comment DO NOT start another post.

Door opening is not in the way. not an option to change closet doors. thinking a ladder desk or corner desk would work if a regular desk doesnt?

It’s not convenient to make a bed when it’s up against a wall, but it would open the room up for a desk. It probably would be unsuitable for more than one person.

1. Bedside desk

Although it is hard to make a bed when pushed into a corner, in this instance I would do it. You have to sacrifice something if you are going to have a queen bed in this size room. I'd place a desk on the open side of your bed and double the used as a nightstand/desk. If you are using this as a real work desk for your main job, I'd mount a monitor on the wall above the desk.

This Room and Board desk is handy because you could put things on the shelf below as your "night stand"- glasses, a book, whatever. I'd consider plug in wall sconces too for your bed so you don't have to put a lamp on the desk surface and can free up more work space.

2. Closet Desk

I once took bi-fold doors off a closet in a house I was renting and put my desk inside the closet. I hung curtains instead of doors and still used some of the closet space for storage too. Even if you are not putting your desk in the closet, it could be useful to remove the bi-fold doors and use a curtain so you can bring furinture as close to the closet as you need to.

3. Avoid

I'd avoid ladder desks. I think the look really cluttered in a small room. I'm not a fan of a corner desk. The back corner surface often goes unused and they can really occupy more space than a slender rectangular desk.

My daughter’s bedroom is a touch bigger and bed placement was key. She has a queen/small side table, closet with organization (no doors) and an antique desk she uses as a vanity.

Bed is against one wall with the window, but if bed had gone on another wall it wouldn't have worked as well. Do a to-scale floor plan and see what works best and you’ll better know what type of desk to use.

If you need to push the bed close to the wall, leave about 12-18" if possible in between wall and bed. It looks better and much easier to make.
