Hi friends, I’m looking into double front doors with each 30”wide and 80” tall. My jamb width is standard 4 1/2”.
2 1/4” would be $2800 more expensive than 1 3/4” ones, including 2 doors and the frame. Trying to understand what’s the extra benefits of thicker doors, if it’s worth the extra cost. What else should I consider in addition to the price? For example would thicker doors be much heavier thus not good for small kids at home?
