Sage Green usually is a nice complement to oak

I agree with the sage green suggestion. You might consider not reinstalling your fabric valance after you remove it to paint. That will give your space an instant update.

Is the ceiling color the soft white it appears to be in your second pic? That might be an option for the walls.

You really need to show us the entire space so we can see how much oak cabinetry you have, what your flooring is, and what your granite countertops look like close up. Standard advice is to choose kitchen wall paint that is the lightest of the background color of your countertops. Show us that. Show photos from all four corners by daylight and with artifical light. That's how to choose a color.

Yes, sage green goes well with oak, but what opens up next to your kitchen? That matters a lot.

I like chloebud’s suggestion to paint the walls the same as the ceiling like this first photo. The second photo is White Dove from Bejamin Moore if you like more warmth.

Thank you all. I should have mentioned that the curtains and valance will be removed! Im going to check out all of the suggestions.

I would go with Sage Green...Would be a nice contrast. If you choose Sage Green, I suggest painting the wood portion that you can see behind the kitchen chair, sage green also and also paint the kitchen chairs sage green. Would look great.

Hi, I love the suggestion made by elcieg. I think it will pair beautifully with the kitchen cabinets, but just to be sure try to post more pictures of the space, one where the floors can be seen so you can get the best possible advise here.

You might consider a very pale green or blue to act as a foil for your cabinetry.
