Please help to identify this rose bush (z5)

I had this rose for over 10 years, love it so much. In south Ontario, it bloomed from late April to November, non stopping. I lost it two years ago to a very hash winter, wild animal teared down the wrapping burlap and ate the skin off the rose stems. The flowers were very large over 4 inches, deep dark red inside room and shining red under full sun. The pedal is covered by some down like, just like velvet (both colour and the feel). The flowers are most single or three or four together. They last about 4 to 5 days. New shoots are in dark purple colour. Close to winter, the stems connecting the leaves are also in dark purple colour. The center of flowers almost always covered by some pedals, until fully opens with yellow stamens. The leaves are mostly leathery, green but a bit yellowish green, especially under the sun. The bush is about 5 feet, the bottom steps about one foot above the bud union are thrown, but most thrown free ( a few about 1 feet apart along the stems). It has some rose sent, not strong. I got it from Costco tagged as "red fountain" which is absolutely not correct (I bought two more from reputable rose nurseries, they do not look the same with very small flowers and dark leaves). Please help.
