Take one to a good lighting store that carries shades easier than bringing home shade after shade. Those are really tall so it is really important to test shades.

Are they all the same size and style? How many do you have?

Without seeing the rest of the decor, I'd keep them simple, plain white linen drum.

As to the other questions. I have two of these. I found them at an antique store in St. Petersburg, FL. I’ll probably put them in my entry even though it’s part of our living space. We just downsized from 3500sq to 1800sq so lots to edit.

No, it doesn’t need to provide any lighting. Just a hint of it really low wattage. I do love me some fringe; however over 65 so hard to pull off!

Love the combo of black and orange! Maybe black shades draped with a flowered shawl orange with fringe! However I’ll probably just do black shades. But who knows if the mood hits me I’ll have the shawl ready.

Lowes website shows 77 lampshades in stock at the two stores closest to me. You might check for your location.

I thought that the contrasting lower inner drum gave a nice nod to fringe without actually going there with it.

Haha, like I said at the beginning. I'd have to see the room and the furniture. I'm personally over the top on everything and I'm trying hard not to project that onto others.

My first thought was Black with fringe. On the other hand, I am trying to restore a rain oil lamp from the 70's with a naked goddess inside so...

The base is interesting and unique and instead of having the shade take over, suggest using black (especially with its black base).

I saw a clip on IG? that showed the way to size a shade. They basically measured from the base to the bottom of the "works" or just below where the switch and harp attach.

That was the diameter needed for good proportions. They showed several examples and they looked good following that method.
