We are looking to put Duravana on our whole first floor and are exploring staircase too. Any experience with Duravana specifically for staircase and with no rake so the balusters sit directly in the Duravana? Our contractor says that he doesn’t think the balusters will be secure enough on Duravana/vinyl and is trying to upsell us on hardwood on the stairs.
