Might be a Cedrus of some flavor. Where are you located?

Thanks. Can you tell me what is the easiest Cedrus to grow? I like the soft look. I prefer green but I'll grow any color if it's easier than others.

Do keep in mind, most wanna be HUGE TREES, and I see most of them locally on tiny properties. One of my VERY FAVORITE of tree genera btw! Simply stunning trees, majestic. It is not a tiny bush, but a HUGE TREE more appropriate for a sprawling estate.Cedrus atlantica

Thanks for the info! I hardly ever see one so it makes me think they don't grow easily here in our clay soil with drainage issues. I will check those out. Thank you!!

Cedrus libani varieties do fine in northern Virginia clay with drainage issues. I think you don't see them commonly because you will need to venture to a nursery to purchase one (pricey) and most common landscaping is purchased at Home Depot (cheap).

There are varieties of Cedrus that do not get quite so massive and would be appropriate for a typical suburban garden. C. deodara 'Feelin Sunny' or 'Golden Mound' fit the visuals so either a reasonable possibility.
