I am moving into my first home soon and I am trying to figure out how I should paint the walls. The front door enters into the living area and it is not very spacious. There is a wall separating the living room and kitchen but an open entryway into the kitchen from the living room with enough space for a small dining area. I know I want to paint over the grey in the kitchen. My question is, do I paint the living room the same color as the dining area/kitchen? Are feature/accent walls a bad idea for smaller areas like the living room? What are some tricks to make these spaces feel bigger?
