IMO the blue for a porch ceiling is supposed to feel like the sky it does not need to "go with" anything

Ok thanks, one vote for blue. I actually already have the correct blue color for this. What about the upper perimeter over the wooden screened in porch? I’m guess all white so there isn’t too many competing colors. Siding color is BM Light khaki and trim is Swiss coffee like my garage.

I am a bit confused as to the style of the house since that back area and the front porch do not seem to even belong in the same space. I aslo do not like the shutters on the window at all. Where are you in the world?

I’m removing all the plastic decorative shutters. The ones in the front are gone. The first few pics were listing photos. I’m just showing my detached garage for an example of the colors I’m using. The home is a 1943 New Orleans Bungalow. The detached garage was built a bit after.

After im finished, i may build my own real wood hurricane shutters, which will have to have bifold to fit in the front. So just ignore the shutters.

Current pic. i just painted part of the soffit and gutters today. Im caulking next, after I fix the bottom siding. The home was in poor condition when i bought it in 2019. Its been a challenge doing all this myself when its mostly hot on this side. All the paint had peeling lead paint and i could put my hand through at least one column.

And no, its not painted yet. That’s what Im working on now. The window is next.

Thanks! That’s what I’m thinking, just stick with white in one spot, and don’t have a bunch of colors. The trim above the siding just the same as the siding, and not a big white ring around the perimeter. Hopefully that makes sense.

The blue I have is HC-144 Palladian Blue. I’ll try that other hue. Would you do it in soft gloss or low lustre for the porch ceiling? The one i have is low lustre.

Green works with my siding, absolutely.

Total mess right now but the porch window and side windows will all be the same trim color Swiss coffee. The ceiling runs into this window if that changes things.

Here’s what Benjamin Moore paired with Light Khaki. Spring thaw, almost like a celery. I think Palladian Blue leans blue green and would work as well.

I painted my porch ceiling light blue years ago. I don't know why, but it is so calming. You won't regret it. Paint the trim a creamy white.

If the house is in the south then definitely go with haint blue! I prefer the more greenish shades instead of sky blue as it is more calming imo. Beautiful plus protection against malevolent supernatural forces. :)
