Nice to hear news on the progress of the infant botanist! I assume she's effortlessly soaking up the botanical names? She's at a great age for absorbing new words. Then she can moan in middle age that 'they' keep changing the nomenclature from what she learned with Daddy.

Oh yes, she’s definitely learning all the botanical names. Just last night, one of her books had a picture of a Nepenthes and a Paphiopedilum on the “Asian rainforest” page. She’s, just this year, really coming out of her baby-shell, so we expect some serious blossoming by springtime.

I think that's termed "precocious"...
