Can you help me design this console? I feel like something is missing 🤷🏻‍♀️

    What you may be missing is color and texture in the composition. Although I like your clock a large and dramatic piece of artwork might be better and should bring in the color that is lacking.

    The console IMO is too smalll with that giant clock, which BTW is IMO not decor . The stuff on the console is too much and anything else we need to see the space where this is . IMO a nice piece of art above it and the plant if real no tray and the angels the lantern is way too big

    I have teak wood trays from the ‘50’s that I love for accents. Something like that would be a nice start for you. Also, I agree with others on the clock. It’s cool looking but you need art with color and texture.

    I love the clock and think it's really neat. But the console is too white and too small. It's not just too small measurement-wise but visually as well. The clock is very large and the cabinets beside it are very deep. Can you post a picture of the rest of that wall?

    I agree with the rest of the comments, the clock is nice but simply too big for the console. You have light floors, and light walls the console is completely white. I would go for a bigger console, you will have more space to keep your stuff and it will look much nicer on that wall I would suggest that you fill up that space with your console but I would also like to see how busy the rest of the space is in order to suggest some materials for your console. More pictures of the space would definitely help.

    Many have commented that the clock is too big for the console but it's actually the other way around. The console is too small for the clock.

    I can see why you chose that piece but it is out of scale with the rest of your furniture as well as the clock. Try to find something a little deeper and a little longer. I wonder if something the same wood as your coffee tables might work better as well. Put them in the same area and see how the wood goes with the floor and the area itself.

    Darker and wider to “fill” the wall under the clock. Here are a couple of ideas. (Measure the wall before starting to browse.)

    I would paint the wall as Paul suggested and STILL buy a wider console for that wall.

    Paul F. always has good ideas…..

    @Molly D. Zone4B I'm glad you've missed all my terrible ones. :P

    My first thought was to paint the wall as Paul has shown. You could also put a dark brown runner on the console--one that goes down the sides. This would give some weight to it.

    After seeing your whole space..as it is so linear ..with the flooring also laid lengthwise..adding a few spans of color on the walls….not necessarily all on the same side …would stop the eye and define each of the living spaces better …while warming up the space as well…adding a few accessories in each area to match the wall will also create a cozier and more inviting separateness..sticking to very pale monochromatic colors..will preserve the flow..rather than dictate your decor..

    The wall with the clock is the only on we can see…but in view of it being adjacent the wood cabinets..a vertical wood paneling matching the cabinets would visually connect the kitchen and dining area…
