Neither will put on a shine on a matte finish tile. Matte is what those tile are and will be what they will be until they are removed.

How about CoverTec GlazeGuard Floor Sealer Wall Sealer for Ceramic, Porcelain, Stone Tile Surfaces Pro Grade. I read reviews from a few hundred people that said it works very well on ceramic tile to put a shine on the tile?

You are not effectively changing a matt tile to gloss with any of those products.

I ordered a 4 oz sample size of the Covertec GlazeBuard just to quench my curiosity. It's going to arrive in about 10 days. I'm going to apply it on a tile or two (12"x12" ea) in the corner of my laundry room next to my washing machine where it really won't be seen if it comes out badly, peels or anything else. You're probably right though. I'll let you know how it goes.

You are going to end up ruining your tile when those miracle products just make things sticky and attract dirt, without being removable enough to do anything but have some remain, giving you problems for the life of the floor.

It won't hurt to put the sealer on the 2 tiles in the corner. I usually just have mops, brooms, a trash can, etc stored in the area. After I apply the sealer, I'll leave those things out of the corner and, after it dries, I'll walk back and forth over the tiles a number of times several times a day for a month or so, giving it a good workout, and see what happens. Maybe I'll even have my grandkids roller skate on them with their metal wheels or something like that. I was planning on doing the entire floor in the spring when I can open the windows so I'm not in a hurry. If the 2 tiles have a problem, I won't do the rest of the room or the other rooms.
