I have gotten some in the past, but most people really do not know what to buy unless you give them a list of direct items. I used to get some gift cards to fabric stores but I have told the family to stop that as I have enough fabric for 2 lifetimes and only purchase if I absolutely have to.

My cousin is a quilter and she usually gets me something quilted related, but no one else does.

I too, have more fabric than I'll ever make into quilts. However, when I find something I want to make, I never have the right color or amount of fabric.

I never get anything quilting-related, because I buy what I want whenever I want it. My husband did get me a new golf bag yesterday, because mine was wearing out. It was exactly what I wanted because I picked it out. Lol. He has gotten me some of the worst presents. I had a episode with a huge wolf spider once. It was on our bed. Next birthday, I got a actual wolf spider in a plexiglass case. He thought it was beautiful, and he truly thought I would think so too. I gave it right back to him and told him I never wanted to see it again. Men!!

I don't usually get quiliting-related gifts either. DH and I are terrible because we usually buy what we need/want and then look at each other around the holidays and struggle with ideas. My son sometimes gets me gift cards to the fabric store which I use for batting or to fill in on projects. I have tons of fabric, too. This year I got two new tires for my car ... and he got a new garage door. For my birthday in January I am getting new recessed lighting in our kitchen. We are so romantic!!

I failed to mention that the quilting gifts my cousin gave me are still in the box. She's a very precise quilter (she paper pieces her 1/2 square triangles). I'm a little on the sloppy side.
