Their sofas come with standard and upgraded option(s), depending on which line. DD2 has the Haven cushion option and it is super comfortable (not hard or soft). I am going to order the Rowe Bradford, which does not come with the Haven option, so I will try out the available options in person. My sister has two Rowe sectionals and they are both comfortable. I do not know which cushion options those have.

There are so many variables that go into making a sofa comfortable--seat height, depth and pitch, arm height (this one is quite high), back height and pitch, cushion material and size, fabric. Add to that everyone's definition of comfortable is different. What feels good to me may not feel good to you.

I'd search the Rowe website for retailers in your area and see if you can find one that has the sofa in the store.

I have the Rowe Brook sofa and chairs and they are very comfortable (for me). They are in the English arm style that goes well with traditional, transitional and contemporary styles.

IMO if it is asofa where it is used daily you need to find one to sit on, no one can tell you waht is comfortable.

We just purchased this and yes, it's VERY comfy / well made. I will say the one cushion does have you sink in a bit awkwardly though sometimes, but I don't think that's a reflection of Rowe necessarily.
