A couple pictures from the other sides would be helpful.

The TV shouldn't be near the rails anyway. The TV should fit nicely on the wall with the pictures frames. Face the sofa towards the tv or add another chair where the rail is, a couple inches away from the rail, to connect the whole room together.

The rug is too small for that size couch and room. Try not to block the windows with the sofa.

What style are you trying to accomplish, or how you envision spending your time here? There's a lot of factors that go into how we design a space but if you just want decor, there are a few nice layouts that can be done.
