Brown leather is not passe. Actually, brown is favored this year both in decor and clothing.

This color scheme looks beautiful. It would be helpful to see the furniture you’d like to use in the room against the light blue grtay walls.

Here’s a photo with dark walls. I’d like to see your blue-black agate stone feature. The cognac color here might look great against that feature.

I will post a picture of our wall soon. I guess my hesitation here is the fact that couches are large pieces of furniture and will all that brown overwhelm the room.

Maybe my eyes are so used to seeing white cabinets and grey couches and walls everywhere.

We have a grey couch and camel coloured accent chairs.

Here’s another inspiration pic showcasing a Magnolia Home rug. Your wall color looks very similar to this Benjamin Moore color. It looks great with your agate artwork.

I wouldn’t add blue in the rug. I would use tue grey and camel/brown more and add blue accents.

Based on photos and room complaints that we see here, the cool grey often ends up sticking out like a sore thumb because usually everything in the rest of the room is warm toned.

If you spread the colors around the room with art and pattern and decor items it makes the color combo look more pleasing and intentional. If you put one solid grey feature in the room - wall color, rug, sofa, whatever and then don't use it anywhere else the room will look off.

We also have grey, blue and brown in our rec room. The love seat needs to go but is low priority right now. The sofa is a chocolate brown colour.
